Typography is more than just arranging letters; it's about conveying culture and identity. In my recent project 'Saigon Sans', I set out to design a typeface that feels modern yet distinctly Vietnamese.

I drew inspiration from old shop signs in Cho Lon and the elegant curves found in traditional woodblock prints. The challenge was balancing these historical references with the clean, functional requirements of a contemporary sans-serif font.

I believe that as Vietnamese designers, we have a unique opportunity to contribute our voice to the global design conversation by thoughtfully integrating our heritage into our work.
